Our History

About Our Pastor:

Pastor Alamazie M. Warren is the senior Pastor of Mary Magdalene Missionary Baptist Church. He is a lover of God's Word, God's People, and his family. He seeks to present the Bible in a manner that transforms life and reshapes communities and generations. Pastor Warren has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Theology and Minor in Church Vocation from American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee, Master of Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University of Divinity in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Pastor Warren is a loving father of two young adults Amber Jackson and Jacque Sean Jackson.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority. Matthew 28:19

Salvation

Salvation is necessary because of the fallen nature of humanity. We must be saved from the domination of Sin and from spiritual separation from God. Salvation comes by confessing our belief in Jesus Christ. When we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and was raised from the dead, we are saved. You cannot earn salvation. Salvation is a gift from God made possible through the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This gift of salvation can only be received by faith. John 3:16
